gotta get up...
the radiator in my bedroom hasn't been working for months now, so it's been getting progressively more difficult to lever myself out from under the duvet into a cold, cold room. however, the radiator was fixed at the weekend, so what's my excuse now? this morning i was so warm and cosy that i could hardly bring myself to get up...thank goodness for flexitime.

The very fact that December has crept up behind us and shouted "Boo!!" is reason enough to stay in a cosy bed. Any boss should understand that excuse.

i def. concur with your analysis of the situation...sadly i'm not sure my boss would see it that way. i wish they would introduce duvet days where i could just phone in and say i was staying in bed with no other explanation necessary.
